Chicago Fed Index slows

Led by declines in production-related indicators, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index moved down to –0.26 in May from +0.57 in April.

Three of the four broad categories of indicators that make up the index decreased from April, and three of the four categories made negative contributions to the index in May. The index’s three-month moving average declined to +0.04 in May from +0.21 in April.
