NewAge Industries Silcon tubing

NewAge Industries’ Silcon tubing solves application requirements that many other plastic or rubber materials cannot, namely combining temperature usage with flexibility.

NewAge Industries Silicon tubingSilcon works with temperatures spanning 600 degrees – from -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C). The tubing is used extensively in the medical, appliance, food and beverage, and electronics markets.

Silcon addresses situations where a very flexible tubing is needed in conjunction with hot and cold temperatures or fluctuations in temperature. Being a thermoset material – a rubber cured by heat into an unchangeable state – Silcon tubing is unaffected by repeated cycles of heating and cooling and retains its shape in such environments. This is especially useful in applications such as hot beverage service and computer equipment that experience varying temperatures.

Made from FDA compliant ingredients, Silcon is a translucent natural color and offers visual contact with the flow. It is odorless, tasteless, inert and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation for use with food equipment materials (NSF-51)*. Silcon is resilient and stretchable while offering good electrical and weatherability properties. It resists U.V. radiation and ozone over long periods of time.

Silcon is made in the U.S. at the company’s headquarters in southeastern Pennsylvania and is well stocked in 35 sizes ranging from 1/16” through 3/4" I.D. Other silicone tubing styles are available as well and include a platinum-cured version, braid-reinforced styles for higher pressure applications, and a vacuum-rated reinforced hose. Fittings and clamps with which to attach Silcon are also stocked.

*When used in NSF applications, the maximum operating temperature is limited to 350°F (176°C).
