Riverside Tool acquires General Saw

Riverside Tool Corp. has acquired General Saw Corp., a manufacturer of carbide-tipped saw blades for plastics and wood.


Terms were not disclosed.

"The Riverside Tool team looks forward to working with Ray Kordecki to offer his tremendous knowledge to our dealers and the customers we serve in this product category," said Ronald Migedt, general manager of Elkhart, Indiana-based Riverside Tool.

Based in Cape Coral, Florida, General Saw manufactures carbide-tipped saw blades for the wood, plastics and acrylics markets.

Riverside Tool specializes in custom profile tooling. The company is part of Indianapolis-based Techniks Industries Co., which makes tool holding, cutting tools, and magnetic work-holding products sold through industrial distributors. Techniks is owned by Boston-based private equity firm Audax Group.
