Greenfield Industries Hosts Apprentice Appreciation Day
Greenfield Industries Inc. will celebrate the completion of its first year partnering with Apprenticeship Carolina with the Greenfield Apprentice Appreciation Day.
Greenfield has been working to develop employment programs for area youth, and in 2015, Greenfield partnered with Apprenticeship Carolina, which works to ensure all employers in South Carolina have access to the information and technical assistance they need to create demand-driven registered apprenticeship programs.
Today, Greenfield Industries hosts nine apprentices. Three adult apprentices are enrolled at Tri-County Technical College, and six high school apprentices are enrolled through Fred P. Hamilton Career Center in Seneca. The students are employees who earn-while-they-learn.
The Greenfield Apprentice Appreciation event will be held on Thursday, July 7, with lunch and a tour of the facility.
