FCX Performance makes executive appointments

FCX Performance, a Columbus, Ohio-based distributor of specialty process flow control products and services, announced changes to its executive leadership team.


“FCX is rapidly developing our ability to be the single source for all our customers’ process flow control needs,” said Tom Cox, chief executive officer. “As our company grows, we are fortifying our team with high-impact leaders in distribution, both from within and from outside our company.”

Recent key executive appointments include:

Jody Linnig was promoted to senior vice president of sales, leading the entire sales and sales operations organization. A 25-year veteran of FCX and predecessor companies, Linnig has held a number of senior leadership positions, most recently Midwest Division president. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business operations from DeVry University.

Brian J. Miller, CPA, was promoted to chief financial officer, responsible for leading the finance and accounting teams and contributing to acquisition and growth initiatives. Prior to joining FCX in 2012, Miller was a senior manager for Assurance Services with GBQ Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, accounting from Ohio University.

Steven M. Stone, Midwest Division president, joined FCX following more than 18 years with Graybar Electric Company, a Fortune 500 logistics and supply chain company, where he held multiple leadership and executive roles. Stone holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, a Supply Chain Management Certificate from Rutgers University Camden School of Business and is a General Management Program graduate of Harvard Business School.

Brian Richter has been promoted to vice president of business services, responsible for both the sales and integration of FCX’s expanded service capabilities, reflecting the company’s strong service and repair commitment to customers. A 20-year veteran of FCX, Richter has held a number of positions, most recently vice president of operations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, finance from The Ohio State University.

“It is always a pleasure to promote deserving individuals who have contributed to the company’s success,” Cox continued. “It is likewise gratifying to attract talented executives who have built their careers with leading companies in our industry. These leaders, along with Ben Hensler, vice president of sales operations, who joined FCX in 2015 from W. W. Grainger, are seasoned executives who have built capable teams and are helping to position the company for growth, both organic and through acquisitions.”

FCX has acquired four companies since mid-2016, extending its footprint to 37 states and expanding its portfolio of highly specialized products and services.
