ISA member growth continued in March

The April ISA Economic Indicator Report (EIR) from the Industrial Supply Association showed that manufacturers experienced growth in March while distributor performance remained unchanged from February.

The ISA Manufacturer Index increased to 65.5 in March from 60.0 in February, while the ISA Distributor Index remained at 63.

For each index, a reading above 50% indicates expansion, while a reading below 50% indicates contraction.

"While manufacturers reported more traction in March than distributors, both groups have been in expansion mode since July 2016,” said Bryon Shafer, general manager of ASG Industrial and chair of ISA’s Strategic Information Committee. “Both Indices are in positive territory and comments from survey participants are overwhelmingly optimistic.”
